🧔 Welcome to the Dudes Club

This forum is hosted on a server physically located in Hilden, Germany.
As such, all activity on this platform is governed by German law.

🗣️ Our Position on Free Speech

We believe that the freedom of expression, as defined by German law, offers a reasonable and civilized balance between individual liberty and public responsibility.
We do not see the need to invent our own rules, reinterpret existing laws, or claim moral superiority over established legal frameworks.

    In short:
We are not legislators. We don’t want to be.

⚖️ Law Beats Personal Rules — Materially

Even if we, as moderators, wanted to write our own rules, they would be legally irrelevant.
Why? Because only German law can be enforced in this space.

If someone breaks German law, we can call the police.
If someone violates some custom-made “community guideline”, we can’t call any court to back that up.

This isn’t an ideological position. It’s a material fact:
German law has real-world enforcement power. Everything else doesn’t.

    🤠 No Sheriffs, No Deputies

We reject the temptation to act like internet sheriffs.
We are not here to write custom codes of conduct, enforce subjective morality, or babysit adult conversations.

Writing rules, editing posts, issuing bans for “tone”, and all the usual online control-freakery is not our style.
That impulse — to draft codes, impose order, and deliver justice — is what we call the “Sheriff Star Syndrome.”
We want no part of it.

🌈 No Woke, No Safe Spaces

We are not interested in building a “safe space”, nor in applying woke orthodoxy as a moderation filter.
This is a space for adults. If someone says something dumb, you are free to disagree. If someone offends you, argue back — or ignore them.
We’re not here to curate your feelings.

⚖️ The Only Rule: German Law

    So the terms are simple:

    ✅ What you can say:
If it is legal to say it in Germany, then you can say it here.

    ❌ What you cannot say:
If it is illegal in Germany, then you’re out. No debate. No appeals. No drama.

🧘 Chill — But Stay Legal

We do not moderate based on ideology, identity, or emotion.
We do respect the law — and only the law.
That’s the deal. Simple, efficient, adult.

    So relax, Dude.
Say what you want — as long as it’s legal.
